Space Colony lands in stores

Today, Gathering let gamers know they can now beam up Space Colony, the publisher's new sci-fi simulation game.

Combining Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy-like humor with Sims-like domesticity, the game lets players establish and manage space colonies inhabited by a motley crew of futuristic misfits. Developed by FireFly Studios, Space Colony also takes satirical jabs at evil megacorporations, cranky mystics, drunken space cowboys, and Scandinavian biker gangs.

Space Colony is available only for the PC, and it retails for $39.99.
