South Park: The Fractured But Whole Release Date Revealed
Coming December 6. Stick of Truth available for free to those who pre-order.
Ubisoft's second South Park game, suffixed The Fractured But Whole, is set for release on Xbox One, PS4, and PC on December 6.
The ship date was announced on Monday at Ubisoft's pre-E3 press conference at the Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles, in which South Park's co-creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone took the stage to offer some details on the project.
As an incentive to buy early, Ubisoft said that anyone who pre-orders The Fractured But Whole will get a free digital copy of its predecessor, The Stick of Truth (on Xbox One, PS4, or PC).
Stone explained that the sequel's combat system has been tinkered with, and whilst it retains some turn-based elements, it now offers players a little more freedom to use space and move.
Two gameplay clips showed how you take on the role as the new kid in South Park, hoping to join Cartman's super-hero group (of which he leads as his alter-ego, The Coon).
The video went onto show players creating their own hero, picking from a range of different classes.
"The game picks up where The Stick of Truth left off. It's really about who you are. You define who you are in South Park," said Stone.
