"Why did I listen to Colin Kaepernick? He's not even any good."

Comedy Central's long-running animated show South Park returns for its 20th season tomorrow, September 14. Ahead of that, the network has released a teaser that suggests the show may discuss the ongoing situation surrounding NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick's national anthem protest.

After the San Francisco 49ers-Los Angeles Rams game last night, Comedy Central released the teaser below. The townsfolk sing a version of the national anthem with the famous lines replaced by commentary about Kaepernick and police brutality in the United Sates. Here's the clip:

In case you didn't catch them in the video, here's the lyrics (via USA Today):

"Colin Kaepernick is great / Cops are pigs, cops are pigs / Wait somebody just took my stuff!

I need to call the cops / Oh no I just said cops are pigs! / Who's going to help me get my stuff?

Why did I listen to Colin Kaepernick? /He's not even any good / Oh I just got my stuff back,

Cops are pigs again cops are pigs / Colin Kaepernick is a good backup…"

South Park Season 20 airs on Comedy Central tomorrow. There are 10 new episodes in the season.

The show frequently and at times hilariously comments on current events. Given that the Kaepernick situation is one of the most-discussed stories this year in sports, it wouldn't be surprising if South Park offered its own parody of the controversy.

South Park: The Fractured But Whole, the next video game based on the franchise, comes out in December for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
