Sony Computer Entertainment America announced on Wednesday that it is embarking on a promotion with Pizza Hut, the world's largest pizza restaurant chain. Starting November 14, each time customers order a Pizza Hut Stuffed Crust Pizza, they'll receive one of two PlayStation demo discs. Sony has produced five million game CD-ROMs for the promotion. Customers will also have an opportunity to win PlayStation prizes, and even some cash (totaling US$500,000).

The game demo discs will play host to some of the PlayStation's biggest holiday hits, including Gran Turismo 2, Crash Team Racing, Spyro 2, and Ape Escape.

The two companies first cooperated on a promotion in 1998 called "Pizza-Powered PlayStation Giveaway," which, according to Sony, was an overwhelming success.

"With the anticipated distribution of five million demo discs, loyal PlayStation consumers, as well as fans of Stuffed Crust Pizza, will have the chance to sample the hottest PlayStation titles right before the holidays. We are pleased that the promotion this year is bigger and better."
