Sony matches last year's marketing budget
The company will drop $250 million on marketing and promotions again this year.
According to a report from Bloomberg, Sony announced in Japan today that it plans to allocate $250 million to its marketing budget for PlayStation products in the United States. The budget will cover promotions and marketing for the PlayStation 2 and PSOne consoles, peripherals, and software. Both first- and third-party software will benefit from the company's marketing budget, which will run through the fiscal year ending on March 31.
