Sony Celebrates Crash Sales
SCEA celebrates the popularity of its mascot, Crash Bandicoot, who has sold over 11.5 million games worldwide.
Sony Computer Electronic America announced Thursday that its Crash Bandicoot series of games has sold over 11.5 million units to date - all in less than three years since it first appeared on the retail scene.
The company's latest Crash title, Crash Bandicoot: WARPED, has already sold over 1.2 million units since its November '98 launch. Both the original Crash Bandicoot and the sequel, Crash Bandicoot 2, are currently part of Sony's Greatest Hits series.
Here are sales statistics, according to SCEA, for the Crash Bandicoot series, divided into major regions:
