We're hours away from the time when Sonic Adventures will be unveiled to Japanese gaming audiences. The latest inside.

Sega has reportedly added a third show to its lineup of Sonic Adventure unveilings, no doubt to hold the crowd that will soon assemble at the gate of the Tokyo Kokusei Forum. The third will begin at around 5:30pm (Tokyo time). We'll be updating tonight, so come on back for a full report from the event as well as screens from the game.

Today's update on Sonic Team's page shows an interesting sight - real Dreamcast machines (note the gray Sega logo on the top of the machine in these pictures from Sonic Team's site) running Sonic Adventure. It's amazing to think that there are actual Dreamcast machines somewhere in the world being played right now (gettin' excited?).

Also revealed today is a silhouette of Sonic's new look. This may deviate some from the rather graffiti-ish "carTOONS"-looking Sonic artwork released in the first batch of unofficial - but now proven to be real - pictures we posted earlier this week. We won't know exactly what Sonic looks like until tomorrow.
