Sega Europe has today announced that it will release Sonic Adventure DX Director's Cut for the PC in Europe in the first quarter of 2004. The game, which was released for the GameCube earlier this year, is an enhanced version of the original Sonic Adventure that launched alongside Sega's Dreamcast console back in 1999.

"We are very excited about the prospect of Sonic's classic, first 3D adventure outing onto the PC," said Matthew Woodley, European marketing director at Sega Europe. "Sonic has always been about fast and furious gaming fun, and Sonic Adventure DX delivers this in spades. Graphically enhanced for the PC, the game looks amazing and really highlights the caliber and attention to detail of the development team."

Sonic Adventure DX Director's Cut is set on planet Earth and sees Sonic the Hedgehog and five of his buddies taking on the evil Doctor Robotnik. We'll bring you more information on the PC version of the game as soon as it becomes available.
