Activision and Raven have announced that the Soldier of Fortune Gold Edition is now available in retail stores. The game contains two new multiplayer modes called control and conquer the bunker, 18 new maps, and a computer-controlled bot. In control, two teams battle for possession of two flags, and the team that maintains control of the flags longest wins. Conquer the bunker features a scoring zone, and the player that can stay in the scoring zone longest wins. The Gold Edition also includes six new deathmatch characters. Players who own the original Soldier of Fortune game can upgrade to the Gold Edition with a free patch that will be released later this month. The Soldier of Fortune Gold Edition carries a suggested retail price of US$49.95.
