Smite release date announced
Upcoming third-person MOBA will be released in March 2014.
Hi-Rez Studios has announced that its third-person multiplayer online battle arena Smite will be released on March 25, 2014.
Following the game's release, Hi-Rez will also be holding a $100,000 launch tournament at the studio's hometown of Atlanta, Georgia. The company will invite the top four European and US teams to compete.
Smite is currently in open beta, and all individual progress from the beta will carry over into the full game. Any player who reaches level 30 before March 25 will unlock the Cacodemon skin for Ymir, Hi-Rez Studios adds.
Hi-Rez Studios has previously worked on MMO Global Agenda and FPS Tribes: Ascend.
