Gameplay sees players enter team-based battles equipped with a primary weapon, a set of combat and movement skills, and a mount that can be used to travel between fights quickly. Participants start each match with a deck of skill cards that can be customised, activated, and evolved as they level up, granting more strength, defense, or utility in the match.

You can sign up for the Paladins closed beta on the site. Hi-Rez Studios has dedicated a separate team to work on the game from Smite, its other popular free-to-play game. Smite was released last year for PC, and this year for Xbox One. The game was well-received in GameSpot's review, where it was praised for its expansive cast of characters and extensive variety of gameplay.
