Skylanders, Just Dance 4 Wii bundles incoming

New Nintendo hardware bundles hitting retail November 4 include $150 Skylanders Giants pack and $130 white Just Dance 4 offering.

by

Nintendo may have a new console--the Wii U--out in November, but that's not keeping the Mario maker from continuing to refresh its Wii line. The company announced two new hardware bundles today, both of which will be available at North American retailers beginning November 4.

The first is a $130 Just Dance 4 bundle. In addition to the game, it includes a white system with a matching Wii Remote Plus controller and Nunchuck. A recent Nielsen study found that Wii gamers are anticipating Just Dance 4 above all other titles this holiday season.

The second bundle packs in Activision's Skylanders Giants with a blue Wii console and matching Wii Remote Plus and Nunchuck controllers for $150. The bundle also includes one Portal of Power, two Skylanders characters, and one "exclusive" Giant Skylander.

Both bundles will be available while supplies last and have been announced only for North America.

Earlier this month, Nintendo dropped the Wii price from $150 to $130. The new bundle includes a black system with matching controllers, as well as copies of Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort.

Can I just trade up the gag-me boring Dance thing for a couple more Skylander packs, now while the Dance game is actually worth something?? And by 'worth something' I am referring to the whopping full retail price you will find until people figure out how awful it is...

Nintendo will make the 100 million mark on their first home console. Which the wii just has to sell 3 million more units. Nintendo will barely reach that mark but they will thanks to the casual fanbase of the Wii.

They are just sticking to the casuals with the Wii, and they may go more towards hardcore with the Wii U. For the most part, casual gamers don't care about the next biggest thing. At least the ones I know don't. They'll  stick to their Wiis.

I know these are supposed to appeal to a younger, more casual crowd, but I still can't help but make a sour face at this... I really don't like Dance Central or Skylanders ><;

(plus why is the Skylander's Wii blue? And such an ugly blue too? >,<)

Luckily I already have an older Wii...

I cannot wrap my head around this nonsense..... HOW IS ANYONE INTERESTED IN THIS!! I've had a wii since the first week it was released.... but pushing sales on this system is like asking me to buy an n64, and honestly id be more likely to do the latter  GS please produce something that Is actually worth reading... why must you flood your website with useless information and farm sim, street sweeper sim, feedback hatemail (feedbackula) and  Inconsistant reviews  keep it up and you will have only 8 year olds visiting you

Nintendo is trying to make sure everyone can buy their stuff, no matter what the persons budget is. A used Wii for $70, a Wii U deluxe package for $350, and just about every price in between. You name the price, they got it.

 My little brother loves that Skylanders shit. I played with him, its a pretty simple game. If I was his age that shit would be awesome.

But these games are horrible compared to other games...

Worst bundles in the history of the world. I feel sorry for the poor souls actually buying one of these or getting these as a present. lol

Blimey. Nintendo really are going into this holiday season all guns blazing. Clearly they won't be satisfied unless there is some sort of Nintendo product under every Christmas tree this year.

Buy a Wii U, then get these games separately. :D

Wii Sales have been declining, perhaps these multiplatform bundles will help the Wii out for the Holiday season.

Nintendo is going to make a lot of money this season, let's just hope they put those profits back in to the 3DS and the Wii U.

How about bundling the system with a real game too?  When I got my Wii, the only bundle that included a real game at the time(the red one that came with New Super Mario Bros. Wii I think) was predictably sold out, even though the black system looked cooler(but that one came with Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort).

I think they should bring back the awesome N64 colors.

Even kids would rather have the HD version of this game.

wow... now that is just dirty Nintendo.  way to confuse customers with your new bundle when Wii U is lease than a month away.  I felt bad for those grandparents who's trying to buy gift for Thanks Giving or Christmas... their grandson or daughter will be disappointed

 @translucent17 I don't think you realize that the fact you read and commented on this article means that it's caught your attention and interest; even if it is negative.

 @Trickymaster Kids freaking love Skylanders.  Not sure what rock you've been living under for the past year...

 @jinzo9988

Because those people who want "real games" are already waiting for the Wii U, why appeal to them? Nintendo's not really trying to appeal to the mass audience right now with the Wii U, I believe closer to Black Friday they'll kick up marketing for the system.

GameCube wasn't bad at all. Wii was lame because I think everyone was expecting a next generation system at the time, but what we got was a system with roughly the same graphical capabilities as the GameCube. And a ton of people just aren't a big fan of motion controls, myself included.
