Activision has announced that it has secured the North American publishing rights for Sky Odyssey, SCE's action-adventure flying game for the Sony PlayStation 2. Sky Odyssey places the player in aircraft from all different eras. The Pilot Wings-style gameplay includes missions such as landing the plane on an aircraft carrier or refueling on top of a speeding train. The game includes over 40 missions and ten different types of aircraft.

"We are proud to continue our association with Sony Computer Entertainment with Sky Odyssey. The title will be one of the handful of games available for the new PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system during the holiday season," said Ron Doornink, president and COO, Activision. "Sky Odyssey takes full advantage of the hardware's advanced technological and graphics capabilities, and it is the only true flight game for the new platform."

Sky Odyssey is one of 14 games that the company will bring to the PS2.
