Six-Hour PSN Maintenance Scheduled For Eve Of Huge New Release Day

[UPDATE] Sony has brought forward the maintenance period by one hour. It's now scheduled to begin at 9 AM Pacific on Monday and run through 3 PM Pacific.

The PlayStation Network will undergo routine maintenance on Monday, November 17 for a period of around six hours. The maintenance will take place from 10 AM to 4 PM Pacific that day. During the period, Sony will "deploy a series of back-end improvements to the network," the company said in a post to its website.

The network servicing comes on the eve of a huge day for new releases. November 18 will see the release of the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of Grand Theft Auto V and WWE 2K15, as well as Dragon Age: Inquisition, Far Cry 4, Little Big Planet 3, and the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor.

If you've signed into PSN any time since November 13, you'll be able to play games online and use apps like Netflix during the maintenance period. However, the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home, and Account Management will all be unavailable during the six-hour period.
