SingStar: The Wiggles slated for release in May

Australia's most famous children's group and the drivers of the Big Red Car get their own karaoke game; Sony says 3 million SingStar games sold in Australia/NZ.

Australia's toddler-focused super group--The Wiggles--is set to annoy parents in an entirely new way, signing up with Sony Computer Entertainment to bring its music to the publisher’s popular SingStar franchise for both the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 2.

Sony confirmed via press release that the PS2 version will feature 20 songs and will launch in May. Details on the PS3 version were not disclosed.

The PS2 version will have the following songs:

Sony Computer Entertainment Australia also gave an update in the same press release on sales stats for its popular karaoke franchise. Across Australia and New Zealand, SingStar games have sold over 3 million discs, with more than 1 million microphones finding their way into homes. The SingStore has also enjoyed similar success, with more than 500,000 tracks being downloaded from the virtual storefont.
