Singapore Nintendo 3DS launch photo gallery

GameSpot Asia has the picture-heavy scoop on the recent midnight launch.

While not as loud or elaborate as the UK and USA's launch, the local launch of the Nintendo 3DS was at least homely in its own right. Gamers have been waiting patiently since the system's official debut at last year's Electronic Entertainment Expo. Distributor Maxsoft teamed up with electronics store Challenger to host the Nintendo 3DS launch event that was held at midnight on March 27.

Check out the photos below.

The crowd: still waiting jovially.

Damien Chee, the very first person in Singapore to get a 3DS waits eagerly for his new console.

Damien Chee is greeted and asked to pose with Maxsoft's director, Suresh Lal, and electronics store Challenger's Funan manager, Jeremy Ong.

They sold the 3DS at SGD$399 which is ludicrous. If I were to ship one from Amazon even with Express Shipping, it would only add up to SGD$360 console alone. of course.

It's really fun and after you bought what you want you immediately went home and be shock of its awesomeness and play it immediately :D

Midnight releases are always fun, especially when together with a couple of friends who also queue up. After that it would be staying up the night and playing together till morning!

Haha, that looks fun. Nothing like waiting for a good ol' 12:00 AM video game release :P
