Singapore Dance Central champion crowned

Ultimate Dance Central champion walked home with S$2,000 cash and S$2,000 in prizes; doubles and junior champions also given cash prizes.

Last month, Xbox Singapore held the Dance Central Championships 2012 from February 13 until April 8. On the finals of the contest held on April 8 in Plaza Singapura, the company crowned a winner for the ultimate dance-off category, who walked home with S$2,000 cash and S$2,000 in prizes.

Sarah Dane Camongol defeated more than 1,000 Singaporeans to become the Ultimate Dance Central champion. She also took home the gold for the contest's singles category. The doubles category champions were Seah Chen Hua Dary and Hoo Xun Lin. The pair won themselves S$2,000 in cash each.

The junior category champion was 11-year old Raimiel Carreon; he won S$1,000 for his efforts. The judges for the contest were DJ Rosalyn Lee from local radio station 98.7FM, Vernon Huang from dance studio Studio Wu, and Jessica Tan, managing director for Microsoft Singapore.

Dance Central 2 came out last October and was met with praise for its two-player battles and wide variety of tracks. For more information, check out GameSpot's page on the game.
