Simutronics Games Go Live

GemStone III, DragonRealms, CyberStrike, and Modus Operandi now have a home of their own.

Previously available only through online services such as America Online, CompuServe, and Prodigy, the company's games are now also available for play on the Web.

Pricing is set at US$9.95 per month for GemStone III, DragonRealms, and Modus Operandi. CyberStrike is $7.95 per month. Premium memberships, which include special services like the ability to maintain multiple characters, are also available for $20 per month. Players may try out the games free for two weeks.

GemStone III and DragonRealms are both MUD-style fantasy role-playing games. Modus Operandi is a role-playing game featuring a Ross MacDonald-style world ofcrime and private eyes. CyberStrike is a 3-D action game.

Simutronics' games on the Internet feature a new Java-based front end, which givesplayers information at a glance, including their inventory, health and wealth, and it highlights the available directions.

Gemstone III will continue to be available on Prodigy, CompuServe, and Genie. DragonRealms will be available on Prodigy and Genie. The titles are playable on AOL through the Web.
