Further evidence that the SimCity franchise is inexhaustible - or evidence, at least, that that's what someone at Maxis thinks: SimSafari was released for PC and Macintosh computers, Maxis announced Thursday.

The game is aimed at children eight and older, putting them in the role of a safari ranger, where they have to make decisions on how to run their own "African wilderness park and tourist camp." Those decisions range from "picking which animals and plants to put in their park to choosing where to place new buildings in their growing tourist camp. They'll also deal with natural disasters, team up with a neighboring village, and tackle wild missions," according to Maxis.

SimSafari should retail for around US$29.95.
