Ubi Soft Entertainment announced today that it has pushed back the release dates of its upcoming naval simulations, Silent Hunter II and Destroyer Command. The World War II submarine simulation Silent Hunter II is now scheduled for release on October 30, while the World War II naval combat sim Destroyer Command is scheduled for release in mid-December. Both games are in development at Ultimation, and were previously scheduled for a simultaneous release in September. The games include a unique multiplayer feature that will let players of both games participate in the same online battles.

According to a company statement, the reason behind the delay is that Ubi Soft is committed to delivering the high quality that is expected by simulation fans. For more information, take a look at our previous coverage of Silent Hunter II and Silent Hunter II .
