Sierra Studios has announced that it has signed on Troika Games' upcoming RPG, Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura, for release during the summer of 2000. Troika Games is definitely not a newcomer to the RPG scene. The developer was founded by members of Fallout's original development team: Timothy Cain, Leonard Boyarsky, and Jason Anderson.

"We chose our partners, Sierra Studios, because of their great experience in publishing great games and their superior support of developers," said Tim Cain of Troika Games. "Arcanum is the game I've been waiting to make for 15 years, and it's exciting for me to be able to tell people about the incredible world we've created."

Arcanum is set in the late 1800s, in an alternative universe during an industrial revolution, of sorts - with magic, sorcery, and machinery. More information regarding Arcanum can be found on the game's official Web site.
