It's all about family.

San Diego Comic-Con kicked off Saturday with a big trailer from DC Entertainment. The first trailer for Shazam! Fury of the Gods has debuted, and yes, it seems just as funny as the original.

In the new trailer, Shazam is joined by his foster brothers and sisters as they join forces to take on the sisters of Atlas--Hespera and Kalypso--who are upset with the Shazam family taking the power of the gods. Rachel Zegler (West Side Story) plays the third sister. Check out the trailer below.

Yes, Shazam is referencing Fast & the Furious to Hespera, who is played by Helen Mirren, who she plays Magdalene Shaw in that franchise. All the while, Shazam is dealing with imposter syndrome because he's not as cool or flashy--no pun intended--as the other DC heroes.

"There's so much heart, and so much humor," star Zachary Levi told those in attendance at Hall H. "And I am kind of like a Peter Pan of sorts. If anyone ever came to Nerd HQ, you know that I love throwing parties, I love people, I love my family."

"We've got this really cool look into all the kids getting their superpowers at the end of the last movie, and now, we're a few years in," Levi said, teasing a time jump in the film. "We've all been flying around trying to do little missions, but we're still trying to figure it out… Super family comes with super drama."

Shazam! Fury of the Gods stars Levi as Shazam, Asher Angel as Billy Batson, Jack Dylan Grazer as Freddy Freeman, Adam Brody as Super Hero Freddy, Ross Butler as Super Hero Eugene, Meagan Good as Super Hero Darla, D.J. Cotrona as Super Hero Pedro, Grace Caroline Currey as Mary Bromfield / Super Hero Mary, Faithe Herman as Darla Dudley, Ian Chen as Eugene Choi, Jovan Armand as Pedro Pena, Marta Milans as Rosa Vasquez, Cooper Andrews as Victor Vasquez, Djimon Hounsou as Wizard, Rachel Zegler in an unnamed role, Lucy Lui as Kalypso, and the aforementioned Mirren as Hespera.

David F. Sandberg (Shazam!, Annabelle: Creation) is directing.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods hits theaters with an expected date of December 21, 2022.
