Shadowbane goes beta
WolfPack Studios' upcoming MMORPG has entered into the first stages of beta testing.
Austin-based WolfPack Studios has announced that its flagship game, Shadowbane, has entered into the first stages of internal beta testing. In development for more than two years, Shadowbane is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game that places players in a high-fantasy world replete with dragons, mythical creatures, and numerous races. For the past three months, WolfPack has been testing the game's client and server codebases, and this initial beta phase will test Shadowbane's character creation and advancement features.
"We'll be executing the beta test in multiple stages," explained Keith Brewer, director of production rollout at WolfPack. "The first phase will consist of around 50 users, testing the character creation and advancement systems. From there, we'll continue adding more testers as necessary to achieve the specific goals we have for each phase."
Shadowbane will be published by Gathering of Developers in North America and by Swing Entertainment in Europe when it is released later this year. For more information about Shadowbane, take a look at our in-depth preview of the game.
