Ubi Soft and Wolfpack Studios have today announced that Shadowbane, the massively multiplayer role-playing game originally scheduled for release in November, will not be arriving in stores until early next year.
The reason for the delay, according to this morning's announcement, is that the beta test period has been extended through the holiday season and into early 2003 in order to guarantee players get the best possible game experience at launch.
Current beta testers for the game should be on the lookout for a new version featuring numerous enhancements being released soon, while those who have signed up for testing but have yet to receive a confirmation should keep an eye on their e-mail in the coming weeks.
Shadowbane is a fantasy-themed role-playing game that will allow players to interact with thousands of other players in a massive online world full of monsters and treasures. For more information, check out our previous coverage of the game.
