Sengoku Musou hits a million
Koei is first PS2 title to reach the sales milestone in 2004.
TOKYO--The action simulation game Sengoku Musou has tallied the 1 million sales mark in just one month at retail. The game marks the first PS2 title to sell a million copies since the start of 2004. Sengoku Musou employs Koei's Dynasty Warriors-style hack-and-slash gameplay but places the game in Japan's Sengoku or "warring states" period instead of DW's China. Sengoku Musou also features a role-playing element that allows players to power up their warriors or headhunt for new warlords. Sengoku Musou will be released in the US this May as Samurai Warriors. Koei is targeting sales of 700,000 units in the states.
