Sega Shows Off Jumbo Safari

Sega revealed today details and screenshots of Sonic Team's upcoming arcade title, Jumbo Safari. Players will take on the role of a safari-park ranger and drive around in a jeep to catch animals in the field. Players will control the game with a steering wheel and a lever, which is used for deploying a lasso or net to catch the animal and pull it over to the jeep.

There are six stages in all - two for beginners and four for experts. In each stage, players are given a list of animal they must catch within a certain amount of time. Available will be a total of 28 animals, ranging from elephants to saber-toothed tigers.

Jumbo Safari is currently available in arcades nationwide in Japan.
