Second round of Savage beta begins

New test of iGames' RTS/RPG/FPS hybrid to shake bugs out of the game's post-publishing updates.

Those whose bloodlust was unsated by the first beta test of Savage: The Battle for Newerth can take another whack at the game. S2 Games and IGames are now accepting participants for the second beta test for the RTS/RPG/FPS hybrid. Since the retail version of the game has been out since September, this latest round will try and get the bugs out of the free updates that have since been created for the game. The test will focus on new units, structures, and upgrades, as well as network code, patches and enhancements.

According to the invitation, S2 and iGames want both veteran players and Savage neophytes to sign onto the beta so that they can get a diverse sampling of feedback about the improvements.

Those wishing to participate in the beta can sign up at a special Savage registration page. For more on Savage: The Battle for Newerth, check out GameSpot's full review.
