Seaman Goes PC

The human-faced fish we've known and loved on the Dreamcast will finally take a swim in the PC pool.

IBM and Vivarium have announced that they have developed Seaman for Windows. The software has been integrated with the latest voice-recognition software ViaVoiceSnap - Easy Snap. Just when you thought Seaman had bothered you enough on the Dreamcast, now it will be bothering you more by swimming around your PC desktop. It will talk to you whenever you get e-mails, make data entries, and a number of other things - you can choose which applications you want it to be aware of.

Vivarium intends to distribute Seaman for Windows through Sega's Japanese ISP, isao.net. Versions 1.2 and higher will allow users to search for products they are interested in, and companies will provide information on these products.
