Sands of Time shifting ahead of time

Bucking the trend of delayed release dates, Ubisoft announced today that it is shipping Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time early. The Game Boy Advance version has already begun arriving in stores, and the game will ship this Thursday for the PlayStation 2, nearly one week early. The Xbox edition release date was also moved up by a week, to November 12. However, the GameCube and PC Prince of Persias will ship on the same dates as before, November 18 and December 2, respectively. All are rated 'T' for Teen and published and developed by Ubisoft.

A fantastical adventure in the Sinbad/Aladdin vein, Prince of Persia: SOT follows a young nobleman who must make his way through a castle brimming with monsters, traps, and puzzles. The game is the latest in the Prince of Persia series which began nearly 15 years ago. For more on the game, check out GameSpot's preview.
