Sammy developing Rumble Fish sequel
The Atomiswave fighter game will return with a new installment; a PlayStation 2 port with new characters is due out March 17.
TOKYO--Sammy Studios has announced that it's working on a sequel to its Atomiswave fighting game The Rumble Fish. It appears as though progress on Rumble Fish 2 is going smoothly, since the company will hold the game's first beta test this weekend in Tokyo.
The Rumble Fish appeared as an original 2D fighting game for Sammy's arcade Atomiswave platform early last year. Developed by Dimps, it features a unique graphics engine that animates characters by their body joints. A PlayStation 2 port, which includes additional characters, is slated for release in Japan on March 17.
