TOKYO--Sega has announced that it will release a PC version of Sakura Taisen 4 in Japan this fall. The role-playing game was originally released on the Sega Dreamcast in 2002, and it featured a full cast of main characters that appeared from Sakura Taisen 1 through 3. The PC game will fundamentally be a port of the Dreamcast version, but it will feature a number of new additions that Sega will detail in the future.

Along with its announcement, Sega has also launched its download service for Sakura Taisen 3 on the series' Japanese Web site. Owners of the PC edition can purchase a set of six extra scenarios at the price of 500 yen ($3.65). The site also offers nine short scenarios that can be downloaded free of charge. The six scenarios will be included as a bonus in Sakura Taisen 4.
