Saints Row IV track list and radio stations revealed

Saints Row IV to get 109 songs split over seven radio stations.

The full Saints Row IV tracklist has been made available online, with details of the game's 109 songs and seven radio stations.

The soundtrack was published on Complex Gaming, alongside an interview with Saints Row IV audio designer Brandon Bray, who added that the job of licensing and planning the licensed soundtrack was shared between publisher Deep Silver, developer Volition, and Los Angeles-based music production company Heavy Duty.

Heavy Duty's Josh Kessler worked on developing the soundtrack for both Saints Row IV and its predecessor Saints Row: The Third, according to Bray.

“It’s an interesting process because one, we’re privy to songs that may or may not have been released yet, and two, we need to make sure that what we're going to be licensing will be relevant by the time our game comes out,” adds Bray.

As a Dubstep fanatic I only listened to K12 radio while I finished the game, I don't even know what other songs are played on other radio stations.

While I'm disappointed in the lack of metal, I'm curious as to why and how Jane Valderama is the K12 97.6 DJ...that's just odd.

This seems like a weird time to suddenly break the tradition of having songs by Opeth and Mastodon. Though most of the metal in the other games was -core stuff, I'm very disappointed to see that there's absolutely no metal in the game now.

Apparently I'm the only person disappointed by the lack of a Tim and Eric song on the soundtrack.  Driving around to "Sports!" was my favorite part of SR3.

I guess the dubstep gun tracks could be considered the missing 8th station, but I doubt there will be 14 tracks.

This game really knows what a tasteful gamer wants! :D Besides the classic music, everything look perfect! Why dont developers include blink, lostprophets or zebrahead anymore? :/ still awesome list! :D

No punk.  No metal.  WTF?  Hoping there is an option for adding your own music like GTA IV on PC has.

Wow, no metal...

“It’s an interesting process because one, we’re privy to songs that may or may not have been released yet, and two, we need to make sure that what we're going to be licensing will be relevant by the time our game comes out,”

Such a dumb way to look at things. Those soundtracks will be dated in a year or so, unlike the GTA soundtracks. Rockstar always chooses music that fits the mood of the game, instead of what they think people will like/what will be popular, and that's what gives their games such a timeless quality.

Imagine if a game like GTA 3 was filled with stuff from when the game came out. It'd be horrible. Instead they went for a lot of lesser known stuff, which gives the game a timeless quality to it. It's GTA music. Not just pop music from 2001.

The lack of metal disturbs me greatly.. the last two games had amazing songs for GenX from bands like Avenged Sevenfold and Marilyn Manson. Not happy Josh Kessler.

Shame there's no metal station, there were a lot of good tracks on there in SR3. The Mix is looking pretty good. Don't recognize most of GenX, but I didn't in SR3 either and I ended up liking a whole bunch of the songs there. Same goes for K12. As for the rest, I'm not particularly interested in those genres, but there will probably be some good songs there to add to the mixtape.

No metal station, and the only things at least close to metal (In Flames and Papa Roach)  are mixed in with a bunch of light alternative crap?    Josh Kessler, you sir are an idiot.

Though "The Mix" is pretty good, I'll get sick of that fast... so mute/spotify/custom soundtrack for me!

Needs more metal, I remember SR2 had "nohing left" by As I Lay Dying, I thought that was awesome. it was my favourite song at the time.

was hoping to see some more AILD and maybe some Killswitch, Chimaira, Misery Signals, etc. but nope, nothing. Another game where I'll be leaving the music off

I would love the option to keep the commercials and DJs, but play my own music instead. As far as I am concerned all of their music selections are terrible.

@Banyek Agree with this post! However I can tell you why they dont use lostprophets... The lead singer currently has some VERY serious and tbh disturbing allegations against him with children among other things... :/

@slapnutsgt That is a HUGE disappointment for me.  The last two games both featured Amon Amarth tracks among other kickass metal and hard rock...now this.  What the hell!?

@Annogi There are some songs on there I like but I gotta agree, why can't we set our own stations up?  I mean, come on, I can do that in friggin' Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 for pity's sake.  I could stick in the Peter Gunn theme, Love & Rocket's "Express", and quite a few more.

(And we need to lose "Mars".  I'm liable to wipe out the entire city if that song starts playing.)

Banyek

@gashead101 @Banyek Holy crap, I didnt knew that. Lostprophets is one of my favorit band for years now... :/ shame to hear that... :/
