[UPDATE] McGregor wins!

The original story is below.

When EA Sports announced EA Sports UFC 2 last month, the developer confirmed that UFC superstar Ronda Rousey would be featured on the cover alongside a fighter to be named later. Now, the developer has revealed the process by which that fighter will be determined--and it's pretty unique.

The winner of the title fight at month's UFC 194 between Jose Aldo against Conor McGregor will join the no-longer-undefeated Rousey on the EA Sports UFC 2 cover. The fight takes place on Saturday, December 12 in Las Vegas. In the event of a tie or last-minute substitution (or "in its sole discretion"), EA will choose someone else.

EA has also launched a special website to hype up this promotion. Head here to predict the winner; you can not only cast your vote for who wins, but also which round and if Aldo or McGregor will topple their foe by submission, knockout, or decision. The website then spits out a video you can share with friends.

EA Sports UFC 2 launches in 2016 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. It adds a new knockout physics system, new character models, and a handful of fresh modes. For more, you can read GameSpot's interview with senior producer Brian Hayes.
