Atari today announced that RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 has rolled into retail outlets and is now available nationwide. The PC game is the first 3D entry in the series, allowing budding theme park entrepreneurs to not only build their own roller coasters, but also take rides on them in first-person view.

Developed by Cambridge-based Frontier Developments, RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 features more than 170 rides that players can add to their parks, in addition to realistic day-and-night cycles and the ability to create and customize the "peeps" that populate the park. The "Fireworks MixMaster" mode lets players create custom pyrotechnic displays as well.

RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 will be available in territories outside the US on November 5. Rated "E" for Everyone, the game carries an MSRP of $39.99. For more information, check out GameSpot's review.
