Rockstar ships Manhunt
Rockstar Games announces the North American release of its third-person action title for the PlayStation 2.
Rockstar Games has today announced the North American release of Manhunt. The third-person action game, which was developed at Scotland-based Rockstar North, sees players assuming the role of a convicted criminal named James Earl Cash who is plucked from death row to take part in a brutal televised blood sport.
"Manhunt has allowed us to explore and invent new gameplay and unique story concepts that will change the way people play video games," said Leslie Benzies, president of Rockstar North. "The game is designed to get under your skin and never let up throughout the whole experience."
"We are continuously astonished with Rockstar North's efforts, as they are nothing less than stellar," said Sam Houser, president of Rockstar Games. "The perfect balance of horror, mixed with their trademark dark humor, truly makes for an unforgettable game."
