With the PSP launch of Rock Band: Unplugged and the upcoming DS edition of Lego Rock Band, the rhythm franchise will have hit every major game-centric platform in the industry. It's apparently time to expand beyond the traditional console and handheld systems, as EA Mobile, MTV Games, and Harmonix today announced that Rock Band will arrive on Apple's iPhone and iPod Touch in the middle of this month.

Yup, that's Rock Band.

Rock Band iPhone/iPod Touch will come with 20 songs and incorporate many of the series' distinctive features. Gamers will be able to play guitar, bass, drums, or vocal parts and can gather together for Bluetooth-enabled multiplayer action.
