SIDEBAR: Two Southern rock acts are joined by a northern staple in this week's round of downloadable content for Harmonix's PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 rhythm game, Rock Band. Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Gimme Three Steps" is the week's only original recording, joined by cover versions of The Black Crowes' "Hard to Handle" and Rush's "Limelight."

The Florida-based Lynyrd Skynyrd and Toronto, Ontario-based Rush are no strangers to the gaming world, with a handful of songs between them featured in the Guitar Hero franchise and the retail edition of Rock Band. However, this marks the rhythm gaming debut for the Georgia-based Black Crowes and their '90s style of Southern rock revival.

The songs are already available on the Xbox Live Marketplace for 160 Microsoft points ($2) each. In previous weeks, the same tracks that became available for the Xbox 360 version on Tuesday were put up on the PlayStation Store as part of its Thursday update.
