Robot Alchemic Drive in stores

Enix's unique mech game is now available.

Enix has announced that Robot Alchemic Drive, or RAD, is now shipping to stores in the US. The game centers on 120-foot-tall transforming robots, but it offers a twist on conventional mech-game mechanics with a unique control scheme and visual style. In RAD, the mechs are remote-controlled, and before a battle, players must choose a location near enough to the battle to see the action and control the mech, but not so close as to be in danger themselves.

"RAD is an innovative departure from the clone-like, mech-style games that have saturated the genre," said Paul Handelman, president of Enix America. "It is proof that Enix continually strives to combine new ideas, great technology, and powerful stories to deliver compelling video games."
