Strategy First has today announced that Disciples II: The Rise of the Elves has gone gold. The stand-alone Disciples II expansion pack, which is currently scheduled for release on November 20, adds a number of features to the original game, including an all-new playable elven race with its own eight-mission campaign.

"In my opinion, the elven campaign is the best thus far in the Disciples series," said Pro Sotos, product manager at Strategy First. "With the added gameplay features, this campaign is extremely dynamic. Just ask anyone here, as playing ROTE at lunchtime has become a must!"

The new elven race in Disciples II: The Rise of the Elves comprises more than 35 new units and more than 20 new spells. Other new features in the game include seven new skirmishes, eight new neutral units and bosses, an improved map editor, the first official massive-sized map, and new terrain types, landmarks, and artifacts.
