Another Xbox 360 launch title is now available in downloadable-demo form, as a trial version of Namco's Ridge Racer 6 went up on the Xbox Live Marketplace yesterday. The demo allows players to pick from a handful of cars with different drifting characteristics and hit the track to race against a field of computer-controlled drivers. For more information on the game, check out GameSpot's full review.
There is a way around this, so you can get the US or JAP demos on a PAL console. Heres how: 1. Head to Microsofts Passport Site and make your way to Create Hotmail account via www.hotmail.com 2. While your filling out the info, itll ask you where youre from, Be sure to chose the region where the content is availible not where you live. So, if you want Us Content choose america. 3. Enter any valid address for the region youve chosen, Just look up an address on Google - a business address is fine. 4. When your done with that activate your email account turn on your xbox 360 and go to switch Profiles. 5. Create a new profile and Xbox Live account choosing a silver account so you wont have to pay. 6. Just enter a phone number and your done - remember this also has to be a phone number from the country of choice. Use your regular profile as normal and use your foreign account for the new downloads. Simple as that. *Copied from PX360.

I rented RR6 before going to buy it, thank god I did. I LOVE racing games, but I got fed up with RR6 after I got only 15% completion. It MIGHT be worth $20 bucks.
wow, RR6 a simulation? damn. hahaha. Burnout makes my eyes bleed. and Forza is my simulation stimulation. RR6, cool if u like insane arcade drifting, but not my cup of tea. glad its on 360 however.
I bought this game at launch thinking that I'd probably end up playing Project Gotham Racing 3 instead, but I've actually spent more of my X360 time with RR6 than with any other game at this point. It really makes you work for the achievement points as well, which makes a nice change from all of the games that seem to award them every time you push a button.
I never played the game so hopefully the demo will tell me whether or not the game is worth it...I hope they continue and expand the demos available
this game is absolutly atrocious and now playing the demo seals the fate of this game for many, i wouldnt even have released it because maybe sum sucker wouldnt play it and maybe make the mistake of buying w/o trying
Ridge Racer is great classic arcade racing. Those who got to play the earlier versions will enjoy it, those who did not may be confused as to why people like it. It's different, always has been.
lol calling ridge racer a racing simulator. Joke of the century. Tell me you can go that speed and pulloff a controlled 360/drifts like that lol. But burnout is good though.
Depends on what you're into. If you want a good racing SIMULATOR then get ridge racer. If you want to have the most fun you've EVER had playing an arcade style racer, then BURNOUT is the game for YOU!
Ridge Racer was mt first racing game on the PS and im glad they are till around but for the X360....
I think its wierd that the 360 is kinda like a PC, bringing demos out before the games (Mostly) and that helps (Or not) get a good saling point Ex: the demo of Full auto, give people the wrong impression about the game and because of that it got a bad score. I just hope that doesn't happen on the Demo of RR6........ yeah I know its already out still like call of duty 2, the demo still counts.
Better late than never, I suppose. I hope this spurs more people to buy it, so Namco can give the 360 some Soul Calibur/Tekken/Xenosaga/Time Crisis/Ace Combat love. :)
RR6 does not suck, infact its arcade racing bliss. Sure its no Burnout but it never set out to do that. Class 4 + Tripple Nitrous = warp speed. Oh yeah! :)
