Rewind: Week in Review

It's been a big week at videogames.com with the big news out of the Tokyo Game Show and all the new Sega Dreamcast announcements. So let's get right down to it.

On Tuesday Sega finally announced that the Dreamcast would hit stores on November 27 for 29,800 yen or about US$220. Five titles will also be available at launch, including Sega Rally 2 and Virtua Fighter 3tb.

During the New Challenge Conference II, Sega also unveiled a plethora of peripherals for the Dreamcast, including the Virtual Memory (VMS) cards, the hand-held and racing controllers, the arcade stick, keyboard, and a few other goodies.

Videogames.com now has a full list of titles expected to come out for the Sega Dreamcast, following the announcements made on Tuesday at the New Challenge Conference II.

New screenshots have emerged for Capcom's upcoming Dreamcast game Bio Hazard, CODE: Veronica (Bio Hazard is known as Resident Evil in the US) as well a fighting game set in the 19th century, Power Stone.

We've also managed to get the scoop on Bio Hazard, CODE: Veronica from Capcom's Yoshiki Okamoto and Bio Hazard 2 producer Shinji Mikami.

Capcom is stepping out of its own traditional bounds with the new Dreamcast 3D free-roaming fighting game Power Stone. Here are some of the details.

New pics of Game Arts' Grandia II for the Dreamcast have been released. The original received much praise on the Saturn but never appeared in the United States - now it just may do so on the Dreamcast.

Videogames.com has a brand-new QuickTime movie featuring Blue Stinger on the Dreamcast.

Sega AM2 division leader Yu Suzuki tantalized many at the New Challenge Conference II with some general concepts behind Virtua Fighter RPG, commonly referred to as Project Berkeley, though an official announcement won't be made until December.
