Resident Evil: Vendetta is a Japanese CG animated movie adapted from Capcom's long-running action horror game series and will be released in 2017. A new trailer has arrived, and unlike the one released in September, it features English dialogue. Check it out below:

Vendetta was first announced in 2015 and is set for a Japanese release on May 27, 2017. There is no US date as yet, but it is expected to follow later in the year. The film is written by Makoto Fukami (Psycho-Pass) and directed by Takanori Tsujimoto (Hard Revenge Milly, Ultraman X).

Long-time Resident Evil developer Hiroyuki Kobayashi is on board as executive supervisor. Kobayashi also served as producer on the first two animated Resident Evil movies, Degeneration and Damnation, in addition to some of the live-action films.

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, the seventh movie in the live-action series, arrives next month. It stars Milla Jovovich once more, and is directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, who made all of the previous movies in the series. It hits theaters on January 27--check out the latest trailer here.

In terms of the games, Resident Evil 7 releases for PS4, Xbox One, and PC in January. The PC demo landed on Steam earlier this week, while some scary gameplay videos were revealed at the start of December.
