The online portion of the co-op mode will be added to the game "shortly after" the final episode (and the retail disc) is released in March. "The team has completed work on the story mode content and is now ensuring online Raid co-op will function as expected," Capcom said in an attempt to explain the delay.

Though online play won't be available right away, the game's Raid Mode will support solo play or split-screen co-op, Capcom confirmed.

Raid Mode for Resident Evil: Revelations 2 is unlocked out of the gate when the first chapter of Revelations 2 launches across digital channels for consoles and PC on February 24. There will be 54 Raid Mode missions available through the first episode, with more to come through future installments. People who buy all four Resident Evil: Revelations 2 episodes will get to play around 200 Raid Mode missions in all.

The Raid Mode for Resident Evil: Revelations 2 features new weapons and custom parts for those weapons. In addition, there are four times as many character skills to unlock than in previous iterations of Raid Mode, Capcom says.

Players can work through Raid Mode using a total of 15 playable characters. Each new episode adds more characters to the available roster. The four Raid Mode characters confirmed thus far are Claire, Moira, Barry, and Gina.
