Resident Evil 7 is in development, according to a former employee of motion capture studio House of Moves. On her LinkedIn profile (via NeoGAF), an ex-costume designer at the company claims she did work as "costume designer for the video game Resident Evil 7."

House of Moves is a Los Angeles, California motion capture studio that has done work for Halo: Reach, God of War III, and Call of Duty: Black Ops, among numerous other games.

She said her work on Resident Evil 7 took place over the space of three months between November 2012 and January 2013. Capcom has not announced Resident Evil 7 or provided any update on where the series may be headed following October 2012's Resident Evil 6.

That game was met with mixed review scores. Capcom shipped 5 million copies of the game, but said various "challenges" and "inadequate organizational collaboration" led to the title performing under expectation.

"As Capcom has made no official announcement regarding Resident Evil 7 we have no comment to make regarding this," a Capcom representative told Videogamer.

Former Capcom marketing boss Michael Pattison told MCV in August that the next entry in the Resident Evil series is likely to return to the franchise's roots.

"We have obviously seen the consumer response and the PR response," Pattison said of Resident Evil 6 at the time. "You'll find where we go next will likely be more targeted at our core fanbase."
