Registration Closes

Registration is now closed for Summer Assault.

Substitutes are a new feature we have implemented for our Tournaments at GameSpot. This is to assist teams who are short a player from a circumstance that comes up wherein a player cannot participate for any given match throughout the duration of the tournament. What this means is that substitutes must always check-in for every match, and be available through tournament chat in case the team leader needs them.
 
The substitute option needs to be taken seriously; we do not allow players to be swapped without a good reason. If anyone is on your team's current roster, they have rights to this spot unless they can't participate. Only when they themselves have withdrawn from your team can a substitute replace them. This also means that if an admin replaces a player on the roster with a substitute, that player who is removed is placed with the other substitutes and is then on standby.At this point the removed player has no right to come back into the roster unless another player on the roster can't participate for a match.

Bottom line, we do not freely swap out players, even if it is requested by the team leader as stated in #18 in the FAQ.
