Red Dead Redemption, GTA, and Call of Duty Discounted in Xbox One/360 Weekly Deals

Deals With Gold and a Rockstar sale drop the prices of GTA V, Max Payne 3, Trials Fusion, and more.

This week's Deals With Gold sale has gone live on Xbox One and Xbox 360, coinciding with a steep discount on many of Grand Theft Auto developer Rockstar's Xbox 360 games.

On Xbox One, you effectively have your choice of one of two things. Trials Fusion, the latest game in the Trials racing/platforming series, is discounted to $13, bringing it closer to the $15 price point that its two Xbox Live Arcade predecessors (Trials HD and Evolution) were originally sold for. Call of Duty: Ghosts owners can get the game's DLC season pass for $25, which will allow you to get all four DLC packs for half price--and without any of the waiting that earlier buyers were subjected to.

Xbox 360 is where the bulk of this week's best deals are. Ghosts' season pass is half price here, too, as are the full versions of several Call of Duty games, including Modern Warfare 3 ($20) and Black Ops II ($30).

All of the aforementioned deals require Xbox Live Gold; if you don't currently have a subscription, you can still get a number of Rockstar games for 75 percent off, including Grand Theft Auto IV ($6), Red Dead Redemption ($7.50), Max Payne 3 ($5), and Bully: Scholarship Edition ($3.75). The discount on Grand Theft Auto V is a bit less, at 50 percent off, and brings the game's price down to $30.

Check out all the deals below, and let us know what you're picking up (I recommend Bully and Max Payne 3!) in the comments below.

Pretty sick of seeing CoD on sale.  Who plays CoD that doesn't already own this content?  And the prices.... ehh

Anyway, great stuff from Rockstar!  I wish I could purchase some of these games digitally on Xbox One as I would go back to RDR, LA Noire and GTA V for years.

Yep. Haven't gotten to it yet, but bought L.A. Noire earlier. Dang, still some games from last-gen that I have to play, really only L.A. Noire and Dishonored, which I now have; I've already gone back and bought a handful of games I had previously wanted.

Maybe this means we'll get a Rockstar game and a Call of Duty game in Games With Gold September

Rockstar tennis is a cool get, but you can get a hard copy for about that price these days.

bought max payne 3 for 3.75 last week on steam.

If you haven't already played Max Payne 3, you're doing yourself a disservice by not getting it at that price.  It's one of the best shooters I've ever played.

I really wish RS would make another installment of Bully. I've given up seeing RDR on the PC. It would have made for some really terrific mods.

Max Payne 3, a game from 2012, for $4.99. Modern Warfare 2, a game from 2009, for $14.99.

*sigh*

Discounting Wolfenstein would be nice.

Is it me or the possibility of seeing RDR on PC is actually lower than HL3, Beyond good and evil and the last gaurdian coming out in the near future?

call of duty sales are so bad, same crap on psn.

companies realy need to make dlc maps free to not split the community and create another way to make money of dlc. make new weapons cost $2 each or something.

LA noire + DLC for $10 is a great deal and Red Dead + DLC is hundreds of hours of gaming.

I'm not sure if it's a glitch, but xbox.com is showing trials fusion as $0.00
I just got it and it said "free"

Red Dead is very tempting. Would love to see a sequel to that as well.

The Rockstar stuff seems to end up in deal of the week or a random sale every few months now.

So you have to pay $40-$60 a year to get these deals that are worse than Steam's deals...hmm no wonder I left consoles.

Ghosts should be free for Xbox One Gold members then people will be encouraged to buy those DLC's..

Oh c'mon... CoD again!

Actually I'm not surprised. It's only been the third time, in the space of five weeks to have Call of Duty in a "Sale," again.

Good job MS, Deals with Gold is just awesome now. Oh and the Sales and Specials are still falsely advertising, the prices are still the same price as they have been for years.

I pointed this out to people last time and yet I keep getting told I am wrong, well go see for yourselves if you do not believe me?

@NTM23 LA Noire is probably my 3rd favorite Rockstar game only behind GTA V and Red Dead Redemption.

It's great I think, but it's not amazing in my opinion. I think the dialogue and voice work is fantastic, as it is usually for Rockstar games (or Remedy in case of Max Payne), but the story isn't that special. The gunplay is superb, and the settings you go to are good enough, but it's all you really do in the game which I found unfortunate; it's just a bunch of (great) shooting. The music is mostly great as well.

My favorite moments are when you go back to New York, which is only a few times. I hope we see more Max Payne in the future. It was a great game, but it could have been better where one could expect it to. One more thing, which is kind of spoilery, I found it unfortunate they didn't use the expanded ending of Max Payne 2, which shows that Mona Sax actually survived.

@ThePowerOfHAT Shite story, whiny character, cutscenes everywhere and boring level design.

Word on the street is that Rockstar destroyed the source code for RDR, so more ports is out of the question unless they recode the entire game from scratch.

spartanx169x

@arcanitejedi  I have given up on the idea of seeing RDR on PC anytime in the near future. So I'll settle for the 360 version.

@themc_7 From what I can tell, that's the trial version showing up for free. If you go on the store on an Xbox One, you'll see the price listed in the story.

@Jebril uh, no.  false.

though, you sure seemed happy to point out that incorrect piece of info.  go back to the pen.

@Jebril Funny how everyone like you forgets that the subscription also gets you games.  Dishonored is one of this months free games and that alone is worth the price of the subscription.  Overall, you end up spending a couple bucks on big names that are only a year or two old.  That's a lot better than steam where you have to wait several years just to hope a $60 game goes down to $5.

@wookiegr lol that'd be nice. I might actually play a COD game if it was free

@NTM23 Max Payne 3 was ruined. Max was all about crazy unbeatable odds. 3 felt like any over cover shooter boring. i got as far as a bit in a bus inevitably being betrayed, predictable and boring.

@RabidBurp Working in IT and dealing with data backups and such on a routine basis, I'd be very hard pressed to believe any company would willingly destroy an extremely valuable piece of intellectual property like that.

@MrBlondeX @themc_7 I'm unable to find the demo, only the full game. It says it's 6.06 GB in size.

guitargladiator

@themc_7 @Kexster unfortunately it installs the free trial version of the game rather than the full thing once you load up your xbox one. just "bought it " for $0.00 but when i turned on my xbox and went to trial fusion the game was still 13.39 and it said installing trial.

themc_7
themc_7

@guitargladiator @themc_7 @Kexster yep I just got it too. They should really tell you it's a demo. I'm quite sure I downloaded the entire game, but with a 100kb unlock, the game won't go past the free demo stages.
