Today during Sony's Gamescom briefing, Rayman and Beyond Good & Evil creator Michel Ancel announced his latest project, an open-world game called Wild that will launch exclusively for the PlayStation 4. It is the first title from startup developer Wild Sheep Studios, a French outfit that Ancel is leading as he continues to work at Ubisoft.

Ancel said during Sony's Gamescom presentation that Wild will have an open world that is the size of Europe. Set 10,000 years in the past, the game will also have seasons and weather just like a real world would. In Wild, you can play as a human or any living creature; you can be a wolf, eagle, or a boar, among others.

Wild's ambitious and impressive trailer (above) shows off the beautiful world and its inhabitants. It's unclear what you'll actually do in Wild, but the concept alone is certainly intriguing. What do you think of Wild? Let us know in the comments below!
