Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus includes Quest for Booty

Insomniac Games reveals voucher code to be included with all physical copies of upcoming Ratchet & Clank game.

Insomniac Games announced today that all physical copies of the $30 Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus will include a download code for Ratchet and Clank Future: Quest for Booty.

Quest for Booty was released in 2008 and was the first downloadable game in the Future saga.

Insomniac Games also announced today that Into the Nexus has gone gold, meaning it is now heading to manufacturing for mass production. The game will be released exclusively for PlayStation 3 on November 12.

Meanwhile, Sony also announced today that Into the Nexus' release in Europe has been delayed a week. The game will now hit PS3 in that region on November 20 (November 21 in Spain; November 22 in the United Kingdom and Ireland).

Into the Nexus will be "shorter" than other entries in the action game series, and this was intentional, Insomniac Games community lead James Stevenson said earlier this month.

"Some of you have asked us why we made a shorter Ratchet game. The truth is, we relished this ability to tie a bow on the PS3 era of Ratchet with a shorter title," he said. "All of us love the Ratchet universe--and after 12 years developing the series, it feels like a very close friend. We have a lot of stories to tell, some longer, some shorter. This one felt just right."

Into the Nexus is an epilogue to the Future games (Tools of Destruction, Quest for Booty, A Crack in Time) and features a new story and arsenal of weapons and gadgets.

CiT was my favourite in the series so I can't help but want more.

Cool, but I already have quest for booty on disc, this is. Great for people who haven't played quest for booty

all these stuff 'decision and choice Ratchet made in Crack in Time regarding home and where he wants to be' sounds kinda odd :/

i mean in CiT there was no such decisions (iirc), mainly Clank made a choice to go with Ratchet instead of staying in the great clock (fighting against Azimuth was no real choice >.>)

the real (and only one!) decision was made back in ToD, when Ratchet got the chance to go to the lombaxes, but instead he stayed and fought Tachyon

and that the dimensionator is mentioned (and probably will get some sort of role...) just confirms it even more...

Sweet.  Even more reason to get this.  Only $30 and you get 2 games.

Could be a nice way to end off the Playstation 3 era. for me. I have a other Ratchet and Clank games. So a nice swansong before I turn my attention to PS4.

I never played Quest for Booty, for me it's going to be a great deal.

I really hope that Insomniac won't stop making Ratchet & Clank games if Sunset Overdrive is successful, there's still so much that can be done like expanding on the open world ideas they toyed with in the past (Crack in time was open but not full blown if you catch my drift).

I certainly wouldn't Insomniac to be confined to just one series but Ratchet & Clank has manage not only to stay fresh but improve with each installment and it would be a crime to stop now.

Got it play Quest for Booty from PS Plus, It was awful.

I think they should hand out a better one, Otherwise this bonus would be a waste of time to everyone.

Well fuck. I was going to buy the digital version. This is some mayor bullshit and inconvenience for me.

Loved Tools of Destruction and Crack in Time, and sadly never got around to Quest for Booty. I was already going to buy this day-one at $30, so this just made the deal even sweeter.

Like they had me specifically in mind. I can live with this. :D

How much shorter are we talking? is it gonna be like 10% shorter? or like 30 mins long in total?

Can't wait for this. 'Crack in Time' was an awesome game. The most recent two (the co-op one, and the tower defence one) were fine, but I'm psyched for a new, proper Ratchet game. :)

As long as Mr. Zurkon makes a return appearance, I'll be happy.

Can we buy a cheaper version of the game without Quest for Booty if we already own it, or some kind of store credit we can use/

@Nintyfan95 Ratchet and Clank games have become more and more like rated E games then T. That why almost all their games have been dumbdown.

KBABZ

@Nintyfan95 If it was mediocre it wouldn't have gotten 12 games in 10 years that never scored an average of below 7.

KBABZ

@mischiefmeerkat Shorter than A Crack in Time, longer than Quest for Booty.

And that's just the first playthrough; the game features Challenge Mode.

@RedWave247 He has been confirmed... and he's bringing the family with him.

@RicanV u seem to have cut down or completely stopped ur x1 shenanigans   I cant help but to think the new GS rules have something to do with that or the recent roundup.

@Toysoldier34 why should they. Just because you aren't interested in a free gift doesn't mean they should give you a discount or credit.

@juboner @RicanV No I've always been moderate and pretty fair. I like to engage the audience. The audience unfortunately has trickled down.
