SCi has announced that its PlayStation 2 and Xbox rally game, Rally Championship, is currently being ported to the GameCube. The game will include 29 officially licensed cars from well-known rally car manufacturers such as Subaru, Peugeot, and Ford. Rally Championship includes a co-driver feature where the passenger will give the driver information on upcoming turns. There are plans to incorporate an extensive damage system that actually affects a vehicle's performance depending on which parts are damaged. For example, if the radiator gets hit, then the car might overhear faster. Various weather effects like snow and rain will also affect driving performance.

The GameCube version of Rally Championship is scheduled for release in 2003. The PlayStation 2 version is due out in Q2 2002. A North American release has yet to be announced.
