ProSIM and Shrapnel Games have today announced that they're working on a strategy wargame titled Raging Tiger: The Second Korean War. The game, which will use an enhanced version of the Armored Task Force engine, will see players assuming command of an international task force embroiled in a conflict with North Korean forces.

The events of Raging Tiger: The Second Korean War will unfold on highly realistic maps of Korea, re-created using authentic Russian military maps. Key improvements over Armored Task Force will include options for players to conduct amphibious operations, improved infantry mechanics, and realistic weather effects.

Raging Tiger's campaign mode will be linear and story-driven, although, according to today's press release, players will be able to jump into the storyboard at any point so that they're not forced to play through the same mission multiple times as they attempt to unlock the next.

Raging Tiger: The Second Korean War is currently scheduled for release in June 2004. Further information on the game is scarce at present, but we'll bring you more as soon as it becomes available.
